Let me share with you all, the history about China. It is interesting to know that China has now becoming the leading civilization, outpacing the rest of the world in the arts and sciences, however in the 19th and early 20th centuries, the country was beset by civil unrest, major famines, military defeats, and foreign occupation. After World War II, the Communists under MAO Zedong established an autocratic socialist system, while ensuring China's sovereignty, imposed strict controls over everyday life and cost the lives of millions of people. After 1978, MAO's successor DENG Xiaoping and other leaders focused on market-oriented economic development. In 2000, output had quadrupled. In the modern era, living standards have been improved dramatically and the room for personal choice has expanded, yet political controls remain tight.


Where as in the 1950s, change to economic policies in Taiwan transformed the island into a technology-oriented industrialized developed economy after a period of high growth rates and rapid industrialization. In mainland China, in the year 1970s, will be known as the Four Modernizations modernized the agriculture, industry, technology and defense, vastly raising living standards, and making the PRC one of the great powers.

Geography and Climate

• Location:

Eastern Asia, bordering the East China Sea, Korea Bay and Yellow Sea and South China Sea between North Korea and Vietnam.

• World fourth largest country after Russia, Canada and US

• The climate in China varies greatly as in the Northern zone (Beijing) has summer daytime temperatures of more than 30 degree Celsius. The Central Zone (Shanghai) has a temperate continental climate with very hot weathers and very cold winters.
